Sungrove Club

I've just returned from a solo camp at this site. I am a male who's married and my wife was visiting family so couldn't attend with me so camped alone for the 1st time ever! All I can say is I had a fantastic time here. I spoke with some very lovely people (especially Deirdre) who really made me feel welcome. I am a bit of an introvert so kind of kept myself to myself by reading, colouring, doing yoga and eating alone but wished I had made more of an effort to attend the club house to speak to more people as a group so that is something for me to work on next time I visit. The site is very clean, well kept and secure. I have a 4 man air tent and had a choice of 4 spots where it would of fit but picked a perfect spot to capture the warmth of the evening sun as it set over site. The pool is so nice. It's under a glass cover and solar heated so was the perfect temperature to blast out a quick 500m swim. For safety reasons you can't swim alone so Id really like to thank Phillip who took time out of his day on my 1st and 2nd day to play lifeguard so I could enjoy the facility as well as show me how to operate the pool cover for my next stay.
I spent this morning on the sun deck where I was able to roll out my yoga mat for a morning yoga session as the sun rose. The area in the centre of the site (where there is a miniten court) was perfect for a barefoot run circuit. I think it was 12 laps to clock a mile on my Fitbit. It is clear the members work very hard to maintain this site and every where was clean and tidy with lots of gardening going on. I really felt at peace here and was grateful they allowed me to camp as a solo male for single night (which is more than can be said for another site I contacted who made it clear they didn't want me).
As a whole, naturism struggles to attract a younger crowd. However, after a discussion with a member, this site would love to see a younger generation of naturists visiting to take over the mantle of running the club so please, if you are 46 (my age) or under, take the time to contact the club and visit. I can't wait to visit again and will be bringing my wife with me to meet those I met. The only disappointment for me was that the sauna doesn't seem to get used as I would certainly of utilised this if it was on. Other than that, I feel nice and refreshed after getting back to nature and being active in nature. Do your mind and body a favour and go and visit this site.
