Beaconia Beach

Just to the northeast of Patricia beach along the shore of Lake Winnipeg, separated by a 200 metre- wide channel is Beaconia Beach. This beach has been traditionally been a favorite spot for Gay naturists, but is also visited by non-gay naturists as well. Unfortunately in recent years the beach has been largely ruined by high water and violent storms on the lake, and is now often illegally visited by ATV enthusiasts in spite of a by-law prohibiting this activity.The road into this beach, a causeway across a marshy area, has of late been very poorly maintained by the municipality, making it difficult for all but 4-wheel-drive vehicles to negotiate.. It is possible to wade across the channel to this beach from nearby Patricia Beach, as the water in the channel is rarely more than waist-deep for the average adult.
