​Option 1, 30 minutes from here:

Game drive around the Bontebok National Park which is home to Bontebok, Grey Rhebuck, red Hartebeest as well as many smaller mammals.

​Option 2, 70 minutes from here:

De Hoop Nature Reserve, one of the largest natural areas managed by CapeNature. This beautiful reserve is a favourite for hikers, cyclists, and bird and whale watchers. The neighboring marine reserve, which extends 5km out to sea, is one of the largest marine protected areas in Africa. It conserves a vast and fascinating variety of marine life. The reserve is a World Heritage Site.

Some of the activities you can do here:

Wildlife and Whale watching: bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, grey rhebok, baboon and yellow mongoose,caracal and leopard.

De Hoop’s marine reserve is a breeding ground for the southern right whale. About 120 whales return to these waters every year to mate and calve. The high dunes offer an excellent vantage point for whale watching.

This beautiful and diverse nature reserve is a hiking paradise. De Hoop’s Klipspringer and Coastal trails allow visitors to explore the reserve’s rich plant and wildlife.

Option 3, 100 minutes from here:

Visit L'Agulhas, the most southern coastal village in Africa, located at the southernmost tip of the African mainland. You can visit the Lighthouse with a view from the tower and a walkway along the seafront to the new most southern African monument and a place where two oceans meet at the foot of Africa. A little further along the walkway is the shipwreck of Meisho Maru. Tourists also enjoy the local fynbos plants, bird watching, hiking or swimming in the local tidal pools.

Option 4, 3 hours there and 3 hours back via Mossel Bay:

Drive to the town of Oudtshoorn with Route 62. This route delivers an unforgettable South African travelling experience, the making of life-long memories. After visiting the Cango Caves for a tour, we return with another route to our resort via the town of Mossel Bay where we visit the Bartolomeu Dias museum complex to see the famous 500 year old Post Office Tree, the life-size replica of the Dias Caravel, the Shell Museum & Aquarium and Ethno-Botanical Garden.

Multi-day options (where you might stay at another venue closer to chosen activities) can be requested if you want to explore more of the Garden Route and do activities like a boat ride for a “Dolphin Encounters” excursion of 1,5 to 2 hours at Ocean Blue Adventures, jump from the ‘highest recognized bungee from a bridge’ in the world, the Bloukrans Bridge Bungee Jump, explore the town of Knysna and do a Featherbed Eco Experience at the Featherbed Nature Reserve, including a Ferry ride, Trail and Nature Walk, or do a Tsitsikama Canopy Tour at Stormsriver Adventures.

You can also choose to walk through the "Garden of Eden" and visit the "Big Tree".
